The kidnappers that abducted five persons from Chukuku, a suburb of Kuje Area Council in the FCT, last Sunday night have demanded N100 million for the release of their captives.

A brother to one of the victims told Daily Trust that the kidnappers called them and asked that they should provide N20m for each of the five.

The brother who gave his name simply as Mr Emmanuel, said, “The kidnappers have called us; they said we should prepare N100m and they will tell us what to do. They said we should bring N20m for each person. But we told them we will not be able to get that type of money. We told them that some of the people they kidnapped are people that are looking for food to eat.”

It would be recalled that the kidnappers stormed Chukuku between Sunday night and the early hours of Monday and picked five persons.
