The Commandant-General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abubakar Ahmed Audi, has said more of his operatives will be deployed to strengthen security in Bwari Area Council of the FCT.
Audi, who spoke during the commissioning of the NSCDC’s office built by the chairman of the council, John Gabaya, on Wednesday, said such deployment would help to curtail banditry, kidnapping and other crimes in the area.
He commended the chairman of the council, John Gabaya, for the gesture, saying the building will create a conducive working environment for his personnel in the area.
Earlier, the chairman of the council, John Gabaya, said his administration built the edifice to aid the protection of lives and properties of the residents.

He appealed to the NSCDC commandant-General to give more employment slots to the six area councils within the FCT, pleading for between 50 and 100 slots per area council during the upcoming recruitment exercise.
