The trial of a female lawyer who allegedly killed her husband is scheduled to continue Thursday June 18, 2019, before Justice Adedayo Akintoye, sitting at the Lagos High Court, Igbosere.
Mrs Udeme Otike-Odibi who is also a lawyer, was arraigned in June last year on a two-count charge of murder and misconduct, contrary to Section 165 (b) and 223 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Section 165 (b) provides a five-year imprisonment while Section 223 stipulates death for a convict.
She allegedly committed the offences on May 3, 2018, at Diamond Estate, Sangotedo, Lekki, Lagos State.
The Lagos State Government accused her of stabbing Symphorosa Otike-Odibi, her husband to death and mutilating his corpse by severing his manhood on May 3, 2018, at their Diamond Estate, Sangotedo, Lekki, Lagos home.
She however, pleaded not guilty.
