I will like to advice the Kano State Government on food price control during this fasting period. The prices of food items are exorbitant, and are still rising. Food is certainly the most essential item households  expend on.

The government should set up a committee on how to impose price control on selected essential food items during the period.

The state should have a market of its own, it can be called any name, but it should be under the control of the government. The food items should have fixed prices. With this, other markets will be forced to bring down their prices when they do not have customers anymore, as people will be  diverted to the cheaper government market.
