Nigerian comedian, Gbadamosi ThankGod Benard, popularly known as Koboko Master, is set to headline a major comedy concert in Minna, Niger State, as part of activities marking Nigeria’s Independence anniversary.

The event, tagged Niger State Lafta with Koboko Master, will hold on October 3 at Posh Event Marque, Minna. It will feature performances from leading entertainers including Magnito, Acapella, Nedu, Clint da Drunk, Akpororo, and MC Edo Pikin. Other acts expected on stage are Mr. Paul, Mazi Prospa, Deacon Megoro, I Am Shy, MC Bless, Beejay, and Temiz.

According to the organisers, Minna was chosen in line with the state government’s effort to promote entertainment and boost social life in the state. Governor Mohammed Umar Bago, who has invested heavily in agriculture and the environment, has also backed initiatives to use entertainment as a tool for unity. The show is supported by the Niger State Internal Revenue Service.

Koboko Master is no stranger to staging record-breaking events. On June 15, 2025, he became the first comedian to fill the newly commissioned 5,000-capacity Transcorp Hilton Event Centre in Abuja with his In Da Beginning show, which drew entertainment heavyweights, business leaders and political figures.

The Niger State concert is expected to attract top government officials and a large turnout of comedy fans.
