Unconfirmed reports say the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate in yesterday governorship election in Kogi state Prince Audu Abubakar is feared dead.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday declared that the elections were inconclusive after the results so far released showed Audu was leading with some 41, 000 votes.
Efforts to get the confirmation of the report proved abortive. The director general of Audu’s campaign organisation was not responding to calls by our correspondent.
Incumbent governor Idris Wada is his major contender in the poll were 91 polling station votes were earmarked for repeat voting by INEC.
Audu is a former governor of the state.
