Barrister Natasha Akpoti has officially declared her intention to run for Kogi State governorship election slated for November 16.

Akpoti’s candidature was officially made known when she submitted the governorship forms purchased for her by a Kogi women group few weeks ago.

Speaking at the Social Democratic Party (SDP) National Secretariat in Abuja, Akpoti said her ambition is borne-out of the problems the state is currently immersed in.

She promised to run an inclusive administration where the government will be closer to the people and have access to basic necessities.
