A magistrate’s court sitting in Lokoja on Thursday remanded for 14 days one Pastor Peter Michonza of the New Jerusalem Deliverance Ministry, Ageva, Okene LGA of Kogi State, for impersonation, causing miscarriage and culpable homicide.

The Magistrate, Abdul A. Umar, gave the order following an ex-parte application by the Department of State Services (DSS) to enable it to conclude investigation.

The DSS had told the court that the accused committed culpable homicide, caused miscarriage and impersonated.

Counsel to the defendant, Barrister Lawrence N. Ilobuno, said that his client was arrested by the DSS on September 19, 2022, and had since been detained in their custody.

He pointed out that he had filed an application for bail at the magistrate’s court since his client had overstayed the required days in custody without being charged to court.
