A 300-level student in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at the Kogi State University, Anyigba, Ali Shariff has been stabbed to death.

Daily Trust learnt that the deceased was allegedly stabbed to death on Wednesday evening by a 100 level student identified as Santa Cruise.

It was learnt that the deceased was trying to separate a fight between the said Santa Cruise and another person at the university’s gate when he (Santa Cruise) allegedly stabbed the deseased on the neck with a broken bottle.

An eyewitness account said the deceased was rushed to the Good Shepherd Hospital where he was confirmed dead.

When contacted, spokesman of the Kogi Police Command, Mr Williams Aya confirmed the incident, saying that the police are on the trail of the suspected killer who is now at large.
