The new Kogi State Commissioner of Police, CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi, has promised to sustain the battle against banditry, kidnapping and armed robbery bedevilling the state with full force.

CP Kankarofi disclosed this on Wednesday at the state police command’s headquarters, Lokoja, during his maiden press conference in the state.

The state’s police boss urged the people of the state to cooperate with the operatives of the command in order to provide adequate security of lives and property for economic activities to thrive.

The new CP, who hails from Kano Municipal LGA of Kano State, warned that his leadership will not tolerate any act of terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, or other criminal activities anywhere in the state.

He added that whoever is apprehended in any outlawed activities will be made to face the full wrath of the law, no matter the status of the suspect in society.

CP Naziru was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force on 10th June, 1994 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (C/ASP).

He succeeds CP Miller G. Dantawaye, who has since been redeployed to the FCT Command.
