Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) has trained 35 public servants from various ministries, departments and agencies on e-government Project Planning and Development Course (PPD). 

The two-week programme, second in a series, was to mitigate the skill gaps in e-government project management, Business Process Re-engineering, IT Strategy Planning, and software development methodology in the public service.

The training was organised in partnership with Ministries of Communications, Budget and National Planning and Public Service Institute of Nigeria. 

At the closing ceremony in Abuja, three participants were presented with laptops, portable speakers and smart watches for their exceptional performances during the training. 

The event also featured presentation of certificates to participants and award of Master’s degree certificates to seven students who recently completed their Master’s degree programme in Korea’s KOOKmin University, under KOICA’s scholarship programme.

The Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Communications, Alhaji Abdullahi A. Mashi, Chargé d’Affaires, of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, Song Yong Min, Administrator, Public Service Institute of Nigeria, Dr. Abdul-Ganiyu Obatoyinbo and the Country Director/Regional Representative, KOICA Nigeria Office, Park Sook Hyun, among other dignitaries were present at the occasion.
