Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), which is responsible for the administration of aid programmes for developing countries, said it was providing support to the Nigeria Korea Model School (NKMS) through online classes.
KOICA said it was also providing support to the teachers to enable them to afford data necessary to sustain the programme through the period of home stay.
The Country Director, Mr. Woochan Chang, stated this at the launch of the grant, adding that over 250 children were benefiting from the programme.
He assured them of KOICA’s and support in the effort of ensuring that no NKMS child is left behind in education especially at this time of the pandemic.
The president, KOICA Alumni Association of Nigeria, Mr. Rabiu Adamu, encouraged the teachers to make judicious use of the data in providing learning materials for the children.
The online programme offers classes in Mathematics, English Sciences for majors. It also offers a feedback system for children and their parents using the WhatsApp and Telegram social platforms. This enables for adequate communication between the teachers and children.
