The Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) is to organize Project Planning Basic Course on e-government for public service officials and operators of Small and Medium Enterprises in Lagos State.  

The training, a component of “Project for Capacity Building of e-Government in Nigeria” is organized in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Communications.  

KOICA Country Director, Sook Hyun Park disclosed this at the closing ceremony of the 3rd Project Planning and Development Course on e-Government in Abuja weekend. 

She said the programme aims to address the knowledge gap in practical e-Government Project planning and implementation and also to raise a pool of public servants who will be capable of overseeing e-Government implementation in the country. 

She expressed optimism that the e-Government Master Plan for Nigeria will be adopted as a policy guide for future e-Government project implementation in the country.

From 2015, over 1000 government officials from 95 ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) have already participated in the regular e-Government training programme being held both in Nigeria and Korea.
