I wish to commend the federal government for its efforts in boosting agricultural activities.  It is worthy of note that the sector made the highest contribution to the nation’s GDP in the past one year.  

That development is impressive and must be sustained.  We must not rest on our oars, as a lot still needs to be done in the sector. With the current development in the oil sector, the need to boost agriculture cannot be overemphasised.  All hands should be on deck to realise our dream.
