Despite the economic recession, Yobe State has been able to access it’s UBEC matching grant, thereby placing the state second among the 36th state and Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The Yobe State University (YSU) is also among the fastest growing state universities in northern Nigeria.

Furthermore, the Yobe State government provided portable clean water through the Ministry of Water Resources to all the 17th local government areas in the state, a feat none of the past administrations was able to achieve.

It is also important to speak on the 2017 budget which has already been passed into law. The budget which was tagged, “budget of consolidation and self reliance”, if implemented will benefit all indigenes of Yobe State.  I commend the governor for his efforts in improving the lives of the people and urge him to continue the good work.
