I commend the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, for his position on hate speech and the government’s general efforts at ensuring peace across the country. When hate speech became frequent across the country, I hoped that action would be taken and I didn’t have to wait for too long. Osinbajo while acting as president, declared hate speech, financial crime & any form of militancy as terrorism and I hail him for that. 

My advice to the government now is that it should ensure that every part of the country is represented in its appointments. A situation where appointees seem to be from a particular area won’t do well for the nation. Federal character must be reflected at all times to ensure equity and fair play.   The leaders have a role in ensuring peace and that is by doing the right thing. They should avoid anything that could lead to mistrust. I support the government and pray that it succeeds for the greater good of the country.
