The chairman of Kuje Area Council, Alhaji Abdullahi D. Galadima, Saturday met with his Abaji counterpart, Alhaji Abdulrahman Ajiya, over the lingering land dispute at Atako community on the border of the councils.

Galadima, in company of land officials of the council led his Abaji counterpart to Atako community, on Toto road, where they met and deliberated over the land matter.

The Kuje boss, who later spoke with our reporter, said it has become necessary for him to visit the site with his Abaji counterpart in order to ensure that the lingering land dispute between residents of Atako and officials of Abaji environmental officials is resolved.

“I don’t think the issue of the lingering land dispute between my council and Abaji should put us apart, that is why I decided to come and meet him so that we go there together to see how the matter will be amicably resolved,” he said.

Also speaking, the chairman of Abaji Area Council, Alhaji Abdulrahman Ajiya, said he remained committed to ensuring that the land dispute between his council and Kuje was addressed.

“Though, we are still going to meet again to see that the matter is amicably resolved, I am pleased for his coming to see things for himself,” he said.
