The chairman Kuje Area Council, Abdullahi Suleiman Sabo, has promised to support the Nigeria Fire Service Kuje division to enable them carry out their statutory duties effectively.

Sabo stated this when he received the divisional head of the fire service, Mr. Isaac Sangoleye, who paid him a courtesy visit in his office yesterday.

He said the importance of the agency in the council could not be over emphasized, saying the security of lives and property in the event of fire outbreak was within their purview of the agency.

The chairman, while commending the fire service for their quick response to fire disasters in the area, noted that many lives and property had been saved over the years through the efforts of the agency.

“It is on this basis that the present administration want to assure your agency that we will continue to partner with you by giving logistics support to enhance quick response to any fire outbreak in Kuje and its environs,” he said.

Earlier, the divisional head of the fire  service in the area, Mr. Sangoleye, congratulated the chairman over his victory during the last area council election in the area.

He also said he decided to use the opportunity to familiarize with the new administration of the council, even as he said the agency had been in Kuje since 2002.

According to him, the agency had discharged its duties despite logistical challenges it was faced and assured the chairman of the agency’s collaboration in fighting fire.
