The Chairman of Kuje Area Council, Abdullahi Suleiman Sabo, has said the council will partner with non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to provide quality healthcare service to people at the grassroots.

Sabo stated this when he received a foreign based NGO, Faithcare Health Outreach, in his office.

He said the council will give all necessary support to the organisation to enable it to build a standard health care facility in the council.

He said it was part of his administration’s plan to partner with NGOs for better and affordable health care service delivery in the area.

He said the idea to have such facility was a welcome development as it will help in alleviating the plight of the poor and vulnerable people in the area.

Earlier, the leader of the team and Country Director of Faithcare Health Outreach, Dr. Monday Yikudi, said the aim of the NGO was to have a Nigerian office and permanent hospital to carry out free medical treatments.

He said their desire was for Kuje to take ownership of the project as a team of doctors from the United States would be coming annually as part of the outreach to render medical care.
