Kun Khalifat FC forward Ezeonye Henry says the team is ready to bounce back from recent setbacks when they host Nasarawa United this weekend in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

The Owerri-based side suffered a narrow 1–0 defeat to Rivers United at the Dan Anyiam Stadium on Monday, extending their winless run to three matches.

Reflecting on the loss, Henry admitted the result was disappointing but expressed confidence that the team would respond positively.

“The defeat to Rivers United wasn’t what we expected. We dominated in the first half but lost focus in the second and conceded. We’ve assured our coaches that we’ll get the win in our next game,” he said.

Currently 17th on the NPFL table with 12 points, Kun Khalifat are desperate for a victory to climb out of the relegation zone. Their opponents, Nasarawa United, are in impressive form and will pose a tough challenge.

Coach Obinna Uzoho’s men will need to rediscover their scoring touch and defensive composure if they are to end their poor run and revive their campaign in front of their home fans.
