Nollywood actor Kunle Remi recently addressed why he wasn’t nominated for the 9th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) in 2023.

The nominees for the coveted awards were announced by prominent TV personalities Bisola Aiyeola and Adjetey Anang. To many people’s shock, the actor’s name was noticeably absent from the list despite his excellent depiction of the character “Saro” in the film “Anikulapo,” which received an incredible 16 nominations.

Remi took to Instagram on Monday to express his gratitude for the unwavering support from his fans and fellow professionals after several Nigerian movie lovers expressed their surprise at Remi’s exclusion from the ‘Best Actor’ category in the AMVCA nomination list. He also expressed his gratitude to his colleagues who were AMVCA Award nominees this year.
