KUST’s VC bags award of excellence

The Vice Chancellor of Kano University of Science and Technology (KUST) Wudil, Professor Shehu Musa Alhaji, has been conferred with an award of excellence by the Northern Women Assembly of Nigeria (NOWAN).

The award, termed ‘An Icon of Educational Transformation’, was presented to the VC by the Speaker of the Assembly, Hajiya Zainab Tijjani Baba.

Hajiya Zainab said the award was part of the assembly’s recognition of people with sound character and laudable contribution to the progress of women in northern Nigeria.

“We consider you a professional initiator and innovator of desirable changes in women’s lives.”

In his remarks, Prof Musa expressed gratitude to NOWAN for recognizing him, adding that the gesture would ginger him to do more to women.

“Taking into consideration the valuable contributions of women to our societal upliftment and well-being, we would continue to give a special attention to women education not only in the north but in the whole country,” he added.

The VC dedicated the award to the University community for what he called their immense support to the instution.
