Nigeria has expressed its readiness to deepen bilateral trade ties with Kuwait.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Yusuf Tuggar, made this known in Kuwait during a working visit to the country designed to strengthen bilateral trade and investment ties between both countries.
Tuggar, in a statement issued by Alkasim Abdulkadir, his Special Assistant on Media and Communications Strategy, on Wednesday, said the visit also aimed to advance trade and agricultural cooperation.
“The visit, which runs from Feb. 5 to 8, 2025 marks the first time a Nigerian foreign minister visited Kuwait since the establishment of diplomatic relations on Jan. 31, 1970.

“During the visit, there will be strategic engagement with his Kuwait counterpart, Amb. Abdullah Al-Yahya, and the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).”
