The Sunshine Stars player who last represented the country at the 2014 African Nations Championship (CHAN) held in South Africa disclosed to Goal that he will work very hard to get a chance to play at Russia 2018.
“I’m not in any way disappointed missing out of the Fifa World Cup because it has been destined by God and I take it in good faith,” Kwambe told Goal.
“If it was my time to play at the World Cup, I would have been there but it is not yet my time and I’m still young. So, all I need to do is to work hard so as to have another opportunity.
“The surest bet to get back to the team is by hard work and nothing else. The first time I heard my name mentioned as one of Super Eagles invitees, it was a surprise because I never expected it. All now boils down to my determination and attitude to get a chance to play for the country again,” added the 10 times capped national team player.
