Lado, who is the flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the senatorial district, is being challenged by Kwankwaso on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In an interview with journalists earlier this week, Lado had boasted to defeat Kwankwaso in the election with wide margin. But Gwammaja, in his reaction, said, “he is a joker and he knows how he won election in the 2011 elections. It was not the PDP that won the election for him; it was the Kwankwasiyya movement that led him to victory.”
He said since the battle is now between the incumbent senator and the leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Lado’s days at the senate are numbered.
He alleged that the money given to Lado by the Presidency to defeat Kwankwaso would not make any difference in the election, saying Lado is a novice when compared with Kwankwaso’s political sagacity.
