Kwankwaso empowers 3007 youths in Kano

Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso (Kano Central, APC) has empowered 3007 youths under his programme Kano Central Senatorial Empowerment.
The beneficiaries were selected from the 15 local government areas within Kano central senatorial district.
Kano Chronicle gathered that each beneficiary went home with a sum of N30,000.
Also, the 120 women who were trained under the Future-Assured programme of the Wife of the president, Hajiya Aisha Buhari, were given N20,000 each.
Equally, 88 local sempsters from Kamo central district were given N20,000 each by the senator.
It would be recalled that over 5,000 youths and women were empowered under the programme few months ago.
In his opening remarks, Chairman, Kwankwasiyya Movement, Barrister Aminu Dala, urged the beneficiaries to obtain voters’ cards and ensured that they form government come 2019.
On his part, the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee, Alhaji Abubakar Danburan Nuhu, said youths were bedrock of every development, hence the need to empower them to become self-reliant.
Nuhu assured that if Kwankwasiyya form a government in 2019, more empowerment programmes would be introduced with a view to reducing redundancy among youths.
The Director General of Kwankwasiyya Foundation, Alhaji Habibu Surajo, commended senator Kwankwaso for the gesture, saying the money donated would greatly help the beneficiaries.
