Kano being a commercial nerve centre in the North and Nigeria had a setback when it was attacked by  insurgents some few years back. But as the saying goes “every disappointment is a blessing” Kwankwaso has been able to rise above the attack and brought Kano back to its former glory if not even better. He has touched positively, most if not all the segments of the economy of Kano state. For every economy that aspires to grow the government must give priority attention to education and job creation among other things. Gladly this is what Kwankwaso has done creditably well. Not only has he given education the much needed attention by giving thousands of students from Kano various scholarships on degrees, masters and
Phd’s, he has also equally trained and equipped thousands of people in Kano on various skills acquisitions so that they can be self employed and employ others too.
No doubt this singular act is going to impact Kano economy more in the nearest future when these young ones sent out complete their studies and come back and the skilled ones begin expanding their business ventures, Kano will certainly be the better for it. Kwankwaso’s achievements from 2011 to date are there for all to see, feel and touch. I can only look, admire, commend and wish for the same positive developmental strides in my state from afar (garin dadi yana nisa). Nigeria no doubt today is in dire need of a better, effective and efficient leadership. These are virtues Kwankwaso is composed of, as we all have seen. He is simply the best governor Nigeria has ever produced. So I call on him to take the bold step for the highest office in the land come 2015 insha Allah and May Allah be with him and us all Ameen.
