The spokesperson of Kwankwasiyya movement, Captain Mansur Kurugu, has dismissed the report claiming that the NNPP National leader, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, was flown abroad for medical attention.
Kwankwaso’s trip prompted speculations on social media that the former governor of Kano state left the county on health grounds.
But responding to enquiries over the foreign trip, Kurugu said Kwankwaso departed Nigeria on Thursday for personal reason.
“Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso departs Nigeria for personal reasons. It is not for medical tourism or any health related reason,” he said.
However, in Facebook post, a media aide to Kwankwaso, Saifullahi Hassan, dismissed the claim, saying it was the handiwork of political detractors.
Hassan noted that the NNPP National leader was at Singer Market in Kano on Thursday morning to commiserate with the traders over the recent fire outbreak that destroyed shops and goods worth millions of naira.
