However, in what could be describe as a sober reflection of sorts, and  a thinly disguised lamentation at missed opportunities, Kwankwaso said: ‘Munyi niyyar kwararo ayyuka, amma kash, gashi har magariba tayi’, which when roughly translated means: ‘We intend to execute many development projects in Kano, but our term has virtually finished!’
And truly, capital projects are ongoing in the city, but without definitive completion period. So, what miracle can be applied to accomplish what was started three years ago within the remaining short period? What magic if any, does Kwankwaso have in place to actualize the dream of a new Kano, given the lackadaisical way projects are being initiated?
Rural folks and those hoping to see improvement in the health sector in Kano may have to tarry awhile. Ditto those aiming to start using the new paediatric hospitals for women and children at Hausawa Zoo Road and Giginyu Quarters, respectively, which were initiated by the Shekarau administration. The two healthcare facilities, for reasons best known to Kwankwasiyya, remain uncompleted.
As far as Kano rural dwellers are concerned, Kwankwaso will be remembered as a political phenomenon that came with lot of promises, full of sound and passion, but yet achieving little.
Fortunately, the day of reckoning is fast-approaching and as the saying goes, history has always been on the side of the oppressed. The buck stops at the doorsteps of gubernatorial aspirants via other party platforms aiming to replace Kwankwaso to capitalize on the present widespread misgivings among Kano rural folks who justifiably feel let down and left out, to exact sweet revenge through comprehensive electoral defeat in 2015.
