The group therefore called on Kwankwaso to consider running for presidency in the 2015 election, stressing that he has all it takes to win the presidential election.
Addressing a press conference in Abuja at the weekend, a member of Board of Trustees (BOT) of the group, Alhaji Aminu Dabo said Kwankwaso remains the only political icon that can save Nigeria from its current security challenges, eradicate poverty and develop the nation in all spheres of life.
“His performance as governor of Kano State in all sectors is a clear indication that Kwankwaso has the interest of the masses at heart and will be a good material for 2015 presidency. Jonathan can’t defeat him in the race. Jonathan is in PDP, Kwankwaso is in APC, but I can assure you that Kwankwaso is the only candidate to beat, so we are calling on him to declare his intention to run. He has the required experience and all it takes to be president of this country,” he said.
Dabo who said the country needs change of government in order to improve the standard of living of the people and deepen democracy in the country stressed that lack of good governance in Nigeria has affected the nation’s fabrics negatively and only change can restore the country’s lost glory.
