The Kwara State Government has presented 16 ambulances to the 16 LGAs of the state to boost primary healthcare.
During the presentation ceremony in Ilorin, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq said the move was aimed at effectively strengthening the health emergency response system at the grassroots.

He explained that, “This is the initiative of the local government areas. It is their money. It is basically to support the health services, especially the Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs).”
The state’s Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Jide Ashonibare, said the intervention would improve healthcare services across the LGAs.
