Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has declared today work-free for civil servants in the state to enable them register for the Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC).
The holiday comes as INEC closes the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise on July 31.
There have been last-minute rush across all the centres in the state as many people scramble to get registered.
In a statement, the governor’s spokesman, Rafiu Ajakaye, said, “His Excellency urges the people of Kwara State, especially the civil servants, to take full advantage of the holiday to perform their civic duty of registering to vote.”
