Kwara gifts family of late badminton coach, Bello, N2m

The Kwara State Government has presented a cheque of N2m to the wife of former Kwara State badminton coach, late Rafiu Oyebanji Bello who died in a motor accident.

Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Mamman Saba Jibril, who presented the cheque on behalf of the state government, thanked the leadership of Kwara State Sports Commission.

According to the SSG, the spirit behind the monetary compensation to the family of the late World Para-badminton champion is to boost the morale and the spirit of sports men and women, especially in the badminton game in the state.

The SSG told the family and officials of the newly-established Kwara State Sports Commission to consider what happened to late Coach Bello as the will of Allah.

He prayed to Allah to give the family of the late coach and officials of the Sports Commission, Kwara State Badminton Association the courage to bear the irreparable loss. 

In her responses, wife of the late Coach, Hajia Halima Suleiman and the Executive Chairman, Kwara State Sports Commission, Alhaji Bolakale Adisa Mogaji, appreciated the Kwara State Government for the gesture, and prayed for Allah’s guidance and protection for a successful tenure.
