The Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mr Tunji Moronfoye, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in IIorin.
According to the commissioner, the two monarchs who collected N10 million each for the renovation of their palaces are Emir of Lafiagi, Alhaji Kawu Haliru, and his Tsaragi counterpart, Alhaji Mohammed Kpoto.
He said the renovation work at the two palaces will be completed within the shortest time possible.
The commissioner said government is uplifting the standard of royal fathers to boost their morale and appreciate their efforts at maintaining peace in their domains.
“Our royal fathers deserve better treatment as they the are the custodians of our traditional values and culture,” the commissioner said. (NAN)
