Kwara poly rector appointed CAPA president

The Rector of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, Alhaji Mas’ud Elelu, was recently appointed as the President of Commonwealth Association of Technical Universities and Polytechnics in Africa (CAPA). The appointment was made known at the 40th anniversary celebration of the association in Abuja.

Aside the appointment, Elelu is the Chairman of the Council of Heads of Polytechnics and Colleges of Technology in Nigeria (COHEADS) and had been acting President of CAPA for a year.

In his acceptance speech, Elelu pledged to move the association to an enviable status by partnering with the Governments of African countries.

He said the association would promote made in Africa  goods, and  advised African members to gear up to their responsibility by fabricating tools and machines that had direct impacts on Africans.
