In a chat with Sportswriters, the Benue-born football technician described the performance of his lads in the 2-1 victory against the Oluyole Warriors as lacking coordination.Expressing happiness that he was able to win his first match in his first outing with the Ilorin-based team, Tenger said losing the match which was played at the Ilorin Township Stadium would have created an impression that his boys were not good enough for premier league action.

“Truly speaking, we have a lot to do especially by way of technical co-ordination of the team”.He added that it will not take very long for the new players brought in to blend properly.

The coach therefore expressed hope that with the calibre of players in the warriors’ camp, the Ilorin based soccer outfit will vigorously contest for the league title.  Kwara United will be camping in Offa, about 40 kilometres away from Ilorin, in preparation for the 2009/2010 globacom League.The Afonja Warriors which came back from relegation last season will play their first match against Gateway FC of Ogun State.
