The Technical Adviser of Kwara United FC, Kabiru Dogo revealed that his target is to qualify the club for the 2024/2025 CAF Champions League.
Dogo stated this during a media parley between Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kwara State Chapter and Kabiru Dogo at the conference hall of Kwara Football Academy (KFA) yesterday.
The former Sunshine Stars gaffer said one of his aspirations is to win the 2025 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
Dogo said the management of Kwara United FC gave him the necessary support last season adding that they have also set a road map for the club to excel next season.
He said, “Kwara United FC has what it takes to feature at next season’s CAF Champions League. We have a lot of quality players in the squad capable of making a difference on the African continent. If you look at the statistics of last season, the difference between the winners (Enugu Rangers) is the number of draws we had, which I was not happy with.
“The main objective is to win the title next season and put smiles on the faces of the people of Kwara State. The management of Kwara United FC are doing everything possible to retain some quality players who can make a huge difference in the squad and I must thank them for giving free hands to manage the team,” he said.
