The Nigeria Ethnic Nationality Youth Leaders Council Worldwide, has lauded President Bola Tinubu for removing Mele Kyari, the Chief Executive Officer and GMD of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mele Kyari.

The organisation in a statement by its President General, Comrade Terry Obieh, and National Publicity Secretary, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, said it was in line with its age-long demand that Kyari and his team should go.

It could be recalled that the youth organisation had severally mounted pressure on the President to sack Kyari, citing alleged lack of transparency in NNPCL dealings.

Reacting to President Tinubu’s decision, the youths urged the new NNPCL helmsman, Engr Bayo Ojulari’ to dedicate himself to the total service of Nigerians.

“You should make NNPCL work for Nigerians; initiate reforms that will turn around the fortune of the corporation. With your experience and track record in the oil industry, we have no doubt that your coming on board will bring stability in the sector, which will translate to cheaper fuel for Nigerians,” the group enthused.
