The new Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, William Nwankwo Alo has assumed office.
Alo, yesterday, formally took over duties from the outgoing Permanent Secretary, Mrs Ibukun Odusote.
Speaking during the hand over ceremony held at the Ministry`s headquarters, the new perm sec noted that teamwork is a catalyst to national development, describing himself as an advocate of teamwork.
He assured the management and staff of the Ministry of a harmonious working relationship.
He said, “We have to work together as one family because we have one goal of contributing our quota towards the development of this country, as civil servants.”
The Permanent Secretary said his experience through the years, from the State to the Federal Civil Service, and his ethics of hard work would stand him in good stead in accomplishing the task before him in his new port of call.
He commended the former Permanent Secretary, which he said had seen the Ministry lifted to a greater height in only seven months, pledging to improve on her legacies in the Ministry.
Earlier, the outgoing Permanent Secretary, Mrs Ibukun Odusote, appreciated the Minister, the Management and Staff of Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment for their support and for making her stay at the Ministry memorable.
