Labour unions in Osun State on Friday declared a total strike to press home their demand for payment of full salaries.
The state chairman of the Nigerian Labour congress, NLC, Comrade Jacob Adekomi said the indefinite strike begins on Wednesday, December 27, 2017.
Comrade Adekomi maintained that the government has no reason to continue paying modulated salaries to any of the workers in the state.
The Labour leaders asked their members to embark on indefinite strike immediately after Christmas holiday.
He noted that efforts are in top gear to ensure that the industrial action is effective.
When contacted, the state’s Commissioner for Information, Mr. Adelani Baderinwa, said the matter would be resolved. He sought the understanding of the workers in the state.
