An eyewitness Hycenth Yilkes; a co-worker of the deceased, said the incident occurred while Saminu was leaning near a tipper that mistakenly touched the high tension, saying as soon as the tipper touched the wire Saminu just slumped down and fainted.

 He further, explained that when the deceased fell down he was given quickly peak milk and rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead. The workers of the construction company described the incident as an act of God.

 They appealed to government to direct the PHCN to make the high tension wire higher to forestall future occurrence. They further called on the government to fully equip them with safety gadgets such as slippers and hand gloves.
