A Federal Commissioner representing Taraba State in the Federal Character Commission, Alhaji Abubakar Armiya’u has said that lack of equity and fairness in the distribution of national resources was responsible for the calls for disintegration by some segments of the country.

The commissioner who spoke in Jalingo yesterday while addressing staff of the commission, noted that  some section of the country felt they were  not getting fair share of the nation resources, hence the agitation for breakup of  the country.

Alhaji Armiya’u, who was a former deputy governor of Taraba State further stated that lack of fairness in  the distribution of resources, appointments  into federal service and capital projects  were part of factors that fuel insecurity in the country.

He said as commissioner representing the state in the Commission, he do his best to ensure that the state get its right share in the distribution of national resources and appointments in line with President Buhari administration of enduring Justice and fairness to all Nigerians.
