Ladan inaugurated as ANAN president

The Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) has inaugurated Alhaji Shehu Ladan as its 10th national president.

Ladan replaced Mr Anthony Nzom.

Speaking at the handover ceremony and 35th Annual General Meeting of the association in Abuja, Ladan  promised to  use the profession  to drive national growth and development. 

In his valedictory speech, Nzom listed the achievements of his administration. 

Ladan was born on July 25, 1955 in Sokoto. He attended Federal Government College, Warri, Delta State between 1969 and 1975.

Ladan also graduated with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree in Accountancy from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1984.

He obtained Mater Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Usman Dan Fodiyo University, Sokoto in 1990.

 He was Acting Bursar, Federal College of Education (Technical) Gusau in 1989 and later appointed Bursar of Usmanu Dan Fodiyo University in February 1994.

The Sokoto State Government in October 2002 appointed Ladan the Revenue Adviser for the state, a position he held till 2011.

He joined ANAN in 1994 and became a Fellow in November 2008.
