The student won N150, 000 and a probability trip to the United Kingdom by October 2015, while the winner, Onyinyechi Ohuabunwa, of Cherryfield College, Abuja, received N200, 000 and $500 U.S dollars.
Other prizes won by the winner included an opportunity to be the ‘Face’ of Beta Malta drink for a year, with a supply of the drink during that period, and to serve as a guest at the Scripps Spelling Bee Competition this month.
Igboka Anita of GudMerc Secondary School Abuja took third and was rewarded with N100, 000.
The competition was meant for students between the ages of 8 to 13 years old.
Speaking on the school’s victory, the Executive Director of Ladela Schools in Nigeria, Mrs Angela Ajala, praised the school for preparing students for all types of competitions.
