A young lady has reportedly died after falling into a well in Kano.
The victim fell into the well located inside a residential building at Danbare area, opposite Amana House, Kumbotso Local Government Area.
According to the spokesperson of the State Fire Service command, Saminu Yusif Abdullahi, the incident occurred on Friday, saying the command received an emergency call from one Bashir Salisu, who informed the control room about the incident.
He said, “The emergency rescue team from the state headquarters mobilised to the place where the incident happened and after arrival, she was rescued.

“Her parents confirmed to our rescue officers that she is not married and had anxiety from a little mental illness.
“Our rescue team immediately pulled her out unconscious and was later confirmed dead.”
Abdullahi added that the victim was handed over to Ward Head of Danbare, Magaji Kasim, while the cause of the incident is still under investigation.
