The Lagos Boxing Hall of Fame (LBHF) is set to make its return on October 25, unveiling a revitalised format and fresh opportunities for amateur boxers across the five divisions in the state.

According to LBHF Director, David Mohammed, the revamped programme will showcase the five administrative divisions of the state which include Island, Badagry, Ikorodu, Lagos Mainland, and Epe, collectively known as IBILE.

“It’s great to be back with our Monthly Show, and we’re determined to make it better than ever,” he said.

He stressed that the event which started in 2010 has served as an avenue to discover and nurture boxing talents 

“The Lagos Boxing Hall of Fame has been a respected platform for over 15 years, serving as a rite of passage for countless amateur boxers who have gone on to successful professional careers. We’re proud of our legacy and committed to building on it,” he said.

Mohammed explained that the new structure will see each division host its own Monthly Show producing champions across various weight categories. 

He added that these divisional champions will then compete to determine the best of the best boxers in the state.

“We’ve opened up sponsorship opportunities to the private sector and are in advanced discussions with several companies. We expect to announce some exciting partnerships soon, so stay tuned,” he assured.
