The Lagos State Citizens Mediation Centre (CMC) resolved no fewer than 36,788 disputes between January and October 2018, its Director, Mrs Omotola Rotimi, has said.

Mrs Rotimi disclosed this during a road-show at Yaba to sensitise residents of Lagos on the centre’s activities marking this year’s World Tolerance Day.

The International Day for Tolerance is celebrated every November to sensitise people to the need for tolerance, which the CMC said can solve many problems in Nigeria if embraced.

Mrs Rotimi said the CMC had handled 40,875 disputes and resolved about 90 per cent of such cases.

Majority of the resolved cases, she added, bordered on landlord-tenant disputes, property inheritance, marital disputes, child custody and monetary claims, among others.
