A 33-year-old man, Idris Lukman, has been arrested for claiming to be a soldier.

At the time of his arrest, the suspect was driving a commercial bus.

The suspect was said to have been arrested by officials of the Lagos State traffic task force for violating traffic laws at on Ikorodu Road at Palmgroove/Onipanu area.

The chairman of the task force, Shola Jejeloye, said the suspect parked at an illegal bus stop to drop and pick passengers when he was accosted by the operatives of the task force for obstructing traffic.

Jejeloye said, “During interrogation, he claimed to be a soldier and pulled out a fake identity card which was identified immediately by the officers to be fake. He was taken to the headquarters of the task force for further questioning.”
