Lagos Fashion festival targets over 10,000 visitors

At a press briefing to herald the event slated for October 2014, the Managing Director, Atlantic Exhibition, Ayodeji Olugbade said the 2013 edition attracted 120 exhibitors and 10,000 visitors thus setting the stage to aim higher and not lower than the figure, this year.
Olugbade said the Fashion festival which will be hosted with the support of the Ministry of Economy, Turkey as well as Meridyen International Fair Organisation is geared towards providing a platform for exhibitors, designers, fashion stylists, buyers, distributors and brands.
“Since time immemorial, Africa has enjoyed a rich history of beauty expressed through art. Based on this past, its little wonder that Africa’s fashion industry is taking the world by storm in their innovation.
“It is in that regard that we at Atlantic Exhibition will be staging an international summit on fashion which is meant to attract fashion lovers from Africa to Europe, Asia and America. So, whether you are a fashion buyer for major brand, a retailer, or a personal stylist with your own clientele, we are providing you with a platform to showcase products including wears, textiles, footwears among others,” Olugbade said.
The Atlantic Exhibition Managing Director further added that the fashion festival which is slated for October will give room for networking, informative seminars, workshops and view the hottest seasonal and international trends for free.
