The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the four goals were scored in the 17th, 20th, 67th and 76th minutes of the match, which was clearly dominated by Lagos.

Commenting on her team’s victory, Team Lagos Coach, Ann Chiejine, said the victory was well-deserved, commending the Lagos State Government for its support to the team.

“I am so happy and excited for winning the gold. The girls have done a great job and have made me proud.

“We prepared so well for the competition and the team also got a lot of support from the Lagos State Government,“ she said.

Nkechi Agams, who opened scoring for Team Lagos, expressed joy over her team’s performance.

“I am so happy to be part of this great team, we played with determination and focused from the beginning of the festival,“ Agams said.

Team Akwa Ibom Coach Atta Bello Udia, said that although, he was not too pleased with his team’s performance, he still commended his side for going far in the competition.

“I am not so happy that we settled for the silver medal, my girls have done so well in the festival and I give them kudos for that,“ he said.

Meanwhile, Team Edo defeated their Osun counterparts 2-1 to win the bronze medal. (NAN)
